Frozen French toast sticks in an air fryer are great options for busy mornings when you need a quick breakfast. This fuss free meal is ready in just a few minutes and kid-friendly.
I find using the air fryer is the best way to make frozen french toast sticks. You get just the right level of crispy edges with soft center. It is much quicker than using a regular oven / traditional oven.
Pop in the air fryer, drizzle a little maple syrup and/or other toppings and you are good to go! Pair with some greek yogurt and you have a great breakfast ready for the whole family.
There are many pre-packaged brands available, but they all take approximately the same amount of time.
Air fryer frozen toaster strudels are another quick breakfast idea!

Ingredient Notes
All you really need are frozen French toast sticks. You can use a few other ingredients to make them even yummier!
Frozen French toast sticks: Only ingredient needed! In case you are looking for a corn syrup free brand, I’ve found Farm Rich brand. It also happens to be eggless in case you looking for a brand without egg mixture.
Topping Ideas and optional Ingredients
Maple syrup: honey, agave are other options.
Spices: Ideas include a dash of cinnamon, cardamom powder, pumpkin pie spice or even chai spice
Olive oil spray: Optional. I find it is not needed and use parchment paper but if you like an extra crispy taste, a spritz of olive oil will help. For a more indulgent treat, use a little butter!
Add your favorite toppings: powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, nut butter, fresh berries or other fresh fruit, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce or mini chocolate chips
Making Air Fryer Frozen French Toast Sticks
Place: Place each piece of bread with enough space around it. Don’t overcrowd them.
Air Fry: Set air fryer to 400F and air fry for 5-7 minutes. No need to wait for preheating to finish.
Check-in and flip: Flip these around halfway through until they reach golden perfection.
Top and Serve: Add your favorite toppings such as maple syrup and fresh berries and enjoy.
Tip:
Cooking time varies depending on the size and brand of air fryer. Yours may work faster and need less cooking time so keep your eye on them.
You can make these with no oil added. However, if you prefer, you can spray with a little olive oil.
Tips
Parchment paper – makes clean up a breeze. Can also use aluminum foil.
Place french toasts in a single layer
For best results, I recommend flipping halfway through, but not necessary
Don’t overcrowd – the food is fried by air flowing around, so make sure there is space so you get some crispy texture
Don’t need to defrost
Don’t need to preheat
Thicker the toast, may need to adjust
Precise time varies by +- 1-2 minutes dependent on the air fryer you have and the brand of frozen French toast sticks you use
Storing
These taste best fresh. However, if you really need to you can refrigerate in an airtight container for 1-2 days. Pop them back in the air fryer for about 3-4 minutes at 400F to reheat.
You can also place in a freezer bag and refreeze them.
