Ingredients

  • 1 cup yogurt whole milk, 5% Fage greek Yogurt, other Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup water or milk If making chaas, use water. For creamier consistency use milk.
  • 1 tsp ground cumin powder
  • ½ tsp salt can sub black salt
  • 6 ice cubes

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to blender and blend. Pour out into cups and optionally sprinkle a pinch of cumin powder on top.

Notes

Chaas Vs Lassi
While chaas is a little thinner in consistency, the consistency of lassi is usually a bit thicker.  The main difference is just adding a little extra milk or water to thin out the drink to make chaas.  A creamy lassi is achieved by using whole milk yogurt or a Greek yogurt. So, you can adjust this recipe to make either!
Making it Vegan
Vegan: Substitute with vegan yogurt and milk to make it vegan.  Oat milk is creamy and thick so I recommend using that with some water.
Variations
If uou’d like a hint of spice you can add a pinch of black pepper.
Fresh mint leaves are fun to add as a garnish or blended in to provide some fresh notes to the drink.
