Biscoff Chai or Cookie Butter Chai

Biscoff chai is delicious and creamy with a touch of spice. The perfect drink to cozy up to which a spicy flavor from chai spice and lush cookie butter.

Equipment

  • 1 Pot
  • 1 tea strainer

Ingredients

  • cup water
  • cup milk 2%, whole milk or plant based milk of choice
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon powder
  • tsp clove powder
  • 2-3 tbsp cookie butter biscoff or speculoos
  • 3 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp loose chai leaves I use Wagh Bakri brand, can substitute 2-3 black tea bags

Instructions

  • Place water, sugar, spices, and loose tea leaves or tea bags in a pot on medium-high heat on the stove.
  • Let it come to a simmer and rolling boil for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add milk and cocoa powder to the hot water. Let it come to a boil. Turn to medium heat.
  • Let simmer for 5-6 minutes. Turn off the stove.
  • Strain tea with a tea strainer.
  • Whisk in cookie butter and serve.

Feel free to use chai masala powder (chai spice blend) if you have it on hand and play around with the amount/quantities of spice
