Methi Na Gota
Methi na gota or methi pakora is a traditional Gujarati snack. This is one of many recipes by my Mom that everyone loves.

Ingredients

chick pea flour
besan

semolina flour
rava/sooji
1/2

yogurt

cup
fenugreek
fresh methi washed and chopped

sugar

salt

red chili powder
lal mirch

coarsley crushed black pepper

tsp
cumin coriander powder
dhana jeeru powder (.5 tsp cumin powder and .5 tsp coriander powder if you don't have a blend already)

oil
for deep frying
Instructions
Mix flour, spices and methi together
Then add yogurt, water and mix. Let sit 30 minutes
Heat oil for deep frying. Add baking soda to mixture and mix. Once heated, take 3 tablespoon hot oil and mix into gota batter.
Fry on both sides until golden brown (1-2 minutes on each side)
Remove from oil and place on bowl/plate lined with a paper towel
Serve with green chutney and chai!
Notes
This makes about 40 gotas/pakoras. Divide the recipe by 1/2 if you want a smaller batch.
