Perfect summery floral drink! Rose lemonade has the tang of lemons and lovely light floral notes from the rose petals. Rose petals are used to make a quick simple syrup for this summer treat.

Rose Simple Syrup
- 2 cups water
- 2/3 cup rose petals
- 3/4 cup sugar
Rose Lemonade
- 4 cups water
- 1 1/2 cups rose simple syrup
- 1 cup lemon juice 4-5 lemons juiced
- 1 cup sugar
- Ice per taste
Rose Simple Syrup
Add water, sugar to small pot/sauce pan and bring to boil. Once boiling, add in rose petals and let simmer on low-medium.
After simmering for about 10 minutes, you'll see the petals losing color and the water will absorb the floral notes.
Strain the petals from the syrup. Let syrup cool.
Lemons vary in intensity of flavors. You may need to taste to adjust to your taste dependent on how ripe they are, what type they are etc.
Lemon zest can add a strong note of lemon
There will be some leftover rose simple syrup. Again, some may prefer more. The recipe is balanced but can definitely be adjusted per your preference.
Leftover rose simple syrup can be kept in a jar in the fridge for future use.
